Golden Gate Park Guide
Did you know that Golden Gate Park has had an engaging, even whimsical past?
You can learn about its intriguing history and, with training and practice,
become a Park Guide. Volunteer Guides lead groups on free historical walks
throughout Golden Gate Park, including tours of the Japanese Tea Garden,
Stow Lake and Strawberry Hill, the western Windmill areas, and more.
This is an ideal volunteer opportunity for anyone who:
- enjoys walking in beautiful Golden Gate Park
- has an interest in history and story-telling
- wants to share their appreciation of the Park with groups of visitors
- is available to lead two tours per month
*Training for new Golden Gate Park Guides begins in March.
