Interpretive Guide at the Conservatory of Flowers
The elegant and much-celebrated Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park has been beautifully
restored. There is a high volume of visitors to this San Francisco landmark. Volunteers act as Interpretive
Guides in the interior gardens, offering highlights about the history of the building and captivating
facts about the collection of rare and exotic plants and flowers.
Interpretive Guides are provided training that includes an Interpretive Guide Handbook and training sessions about
the Conservatory's unique assortment of rare plants led by local horticultural enthusiasts and specialists.
This is an ideal volunteer opportunity for anyone who:
- wishes to learn about the Conservatory of Flowers and its amazing plants
- wants to share their knowledge and enthusiasm, and enhance the experience of visitors
- likes the prospect of volunteering in a tropical wonderland
- is available to work two shifts per month, Tuesday - Sunday
