BUENA VISTA NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION

Buena Vista Neighborhood Association (BVNA) is one of the larger, more effective neighborhood organizations in San Francisco with about 400 current members.  Founded in 1964, BVNA is a forum for neighbors to share information and ideas, and to take action when needed on issues that affect our neighborhood.  BVNA membership is open to all (property owners, renters and businesses) with an interest in Buena Vista Park, Corona Heights and the surrounding neighborhoods.

BVNA serves residents and property owners in the area generally bordered by Oak Street on the north, Castro Street on the east, 16th Street & upper Roosevelt Way to 17th Street to the south-west, and Ashbury Street on the west. Our service area includes over 3,500 households.

BVNA Membership dues
– help support Buena Vista Park, including monthly Volunteer Days and an annual grant to Enterprise for High School Students, which works in Buena Vista Park each summer
– cover costs of our Newsletters and other notices, meetings, etc., allowing us to keep our Members and neighbors informed about issues that affect our neighborhood
– helped support the recent preservation of the Henry-Roosevelt Hillside Open Space, and similar projects that benefit our neighborhood
– encourage and support other neighborhood volunteer and activity projects
– show that you share other BVNA Members’ sense of community and pride in our neighborhood.

BVNA does not endorse political candidates, nor do we usually take positions on individual property zoning matters, etc.
