SAN FRANCISCO TENNIS COALITION

History
The San Francisco Tennis Coalition was launched in the summer of 2004. The Vision, Mission and Goals were designed and a few small community projects were accomplished in 2005.

2006 is an exciting year for the Coalition. Becoming a strong partner in the San Francisco Sports Council and assisting with advocacy to protect and improve all tennis courts and tennis programming in the city are projects that many tennis enthusiasts have become passionate about. The San Francisco Tennis Coalition is a valuable and effective tool for keeping the fun and healthy lifetime sport of Tennis alive and well in San Francisco.

Who We Are and Our Vision
The San Francisco Tennis Coalition is a tennis advocacy group in the City of San Francisco that unifies public and private tennis organizations and individuals. The organization will cooperate with, and support The San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department. The Coalitions’ success will be evidenced with the development of a world class tournament site that will facilitate self sustained and well maintained public tennis facilities and programs that host engaging and popular tennis events for all ages and abilities and by the creation of a dedicated endowment fund that will be devoted to the sport of tennis in San Francisco.

Mission
Grow and sustain the sport of Tennis in San Francisco.

Goals
1.Become the best communication resource to unify tennis interests in San Francisco.
2.Develop a recognized and respected advocacy group that will be successful in maintaining, improving, and building public tennis courts in San Francisco.
3.Support and assist in tennis programming for all populations in San Francisco.
4.Promote and market TENNIS in San Francisco.
