2010 Update: Construction Has Begun!
We have exciting news! The construction at Presidio Heights Playground is finally underway and we look forward to the new park reopening this summer!
For those of you who have already donated, THANK YOU very much for helping make this project a reality. To date, we have raised close to $875,000 toward our $950,000 goal. We are on the last lap of our fundraising efforts for the remaining $75,000 needed to complete the renovation.

If you want to be part of this special legacy, now is the time to donate! There are many ways to participate, including a personalized brick, paver, plaque, or bench recognition. All contribution levels are appreciated and are fully tax-deductible.
Please make your pledge by May 31st to ensure your place in the new park. For your convenience, your 100% tax deductible donation may be fulfilled in installments and completed by January 31st, 2011.
About Friends of Presidio Heights Playground
Friends of Presidio Heights Playground is a group of volunteers and private donors dedicated to the renovation of Presidio Heights Playground. The Playground is an historic San Francisco neighborhood park located on Clay Street between Walnut and Laurel Streets. It sits in a quiet residential area and is surrounded by two condominium buildings. The Playground is used by San Francisco residents of all ages including infants and toddlers with their caregivers; preschoolers affiliated with nearby schools; elementary school children through a city-sponsored latch-key program; and adult basketball players and sport court users. Currently, the playground
has limited greenery, outdated and non-code compliant play structures and an inefficient use of space. We have spent four years gathering community input, working closely with San Francisco's Recreation and Park Department and developing a detailed, city-approved plan. Park improvements will include: new state-of-the-art equipment, more green space and landscaping, a tree house, a nature nook, a picnic table grove, a new basketball court and new seating throughout.
