About the Friends of Harvey Milk Recreation Center
Friends of Harvey Milk Recreation Center (FHMRC) is an organization founded by a group of interested community members to offer support to the Harvey Milk Recreation Center by providing strategic community and private-sector leadership, fundraising, and administrative backing for recreation center programs. The founding board consists of community members representing the various interests of the surrounding community- artists, parents, business owners and neighborhood advocates.

Events
Please join Friends of Harvey Milk Recreation Center (FHMRC) on May 15th for Play Day in the Park- a "family friendly", old fashion picnic in the park for the whole family with kids carnival, live music & performers, food & drinks, local merchants & dog activities. All proceeds will benefit the Friends of Harvey Milk Recreation Center to help create exciting arts & recreation programs in the new facility for the neighborhood & citizens of San Francisco to enjoy. At the event, folks will be able to sign up for memberships to the FHMRC and receive discounts on Center programs.

The music talent includes - Mississipi Rider, D'Lilah Monroe & The Tom Cats, Gayle Lynn & The Hired Hands, Jeanie & Chuck, The Maurice Tani Band, Rich McCulley, and kids songs by Gayle Schmitt.

Special Guests - Senator Mark Leno, Supervisors Bevan Dufty and Ross Mirkarimi.
