The 8th Avenue Landscaping group is a collaborative of neighbors in the Inner Sunset who aim to remove concrete and install sidwalk gardens to beautify their neighborhood. In addition to beautification sidewalk gardens have the following benefits:

Slow storm water runoff
Provide habitat for wildlife
Deter grafitti and illegal dumping
Build community among neighbors
