Did you know? There are more than 80 public gardens in SF.

Street Parks Volunteers :: Our future in focus

spy imagesDrop-in volunteers: meet on Saturdays from 10 till 2 PM once a month to lend a hand in various San Francisco community gardens. If you like gardening, this is a great opportunity to discover a new public garden and learn a trick or two. Free lunch and a garden educator are provided. (Groups and individuals welcome.)

Green Team volunteers: Join us for four of our Saturday community gardening days and get a cool t-shirt, special event invites and a coupon for a free class at Garden for the Environment.

Street Parks Youth: connects youth to community gardens or helps groups to create their own garden.

Internship: If you are 25 or under and want to work on greening San Francisco, apply for this annual internship. Stipend available.

Get volunteers: If your public garden needs a little extra love, contact us for help recruiting volunteers or hosting a volunteer event. We bring volunteers, educators, tools, and lunch.

It will take more than recycling. It will take more than buying organic. It will take more than CFLs. It will take a group of networked, educated, innovative leaders dedicated to protecting our future.
