ANNUAL MEMBERS MEETING: SFPT Members please join us at Anglers Lodge on June 10th at 5:30pm for our annual meeting, and learn what great works your support has made possible this year. Interim RPD Director Jared Blumenfeld will give a presentation on his tour of San Francisco Parks. Meet at Anglers lodge at 3:30 for a tour of Golden Gate Park's west end and the restoration of the Murphy Windmill. 2ND ANNUAL PARK PARTY: SFPT Members and invitees please join us on June 27th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at Visitacion Valley Greenway for great food, fun, and to meet this year's SFPT Innovator Awards winners. BUTTERFLY COUNT: June 3, 9:00am - 5:00pm, meet at the Randall Museum. A one-day count of all butterfly species in San Francisco County. Cost: $3.00 participation fee goes towards habitat conservation. Contact Liam O'Brien, liammail56@yahoo.com for more details.


FILM SCREENING: Screening of Thirst (film on the commoditization of water) @ Humanist Hall, 390 27th St, Oakland, CA‎. 6 PM: potluck and social hour. 7:30 PM: Film followed by discussion. Cost: $5 donations are accepted.

STREET PARKS GARDENING DAY: Saturday, June 6, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm at Vista Pointe Garden in Bernal Heights, intersection of Esmeralda Avenue and Bradford Street, near the eastern edge of Bernal Heights Park. Join SFPT at this new street park which has a fabulous view of the city. We'll be weeding, spreading wood chips, and doing other fun gardening tasks. Information: 415.750.5224


FAMILY DAY CLEANUP: Saturday, June 6, 9:00 am - 12 noon Folsom Playground, at the intersection of 21st Street and Folsom Street in the Mission District. Join DPW and volunteers in beautifying the community. Volunteers will be painting over graffiti, removing weeds, and picking up litter to keep SF clean and green. Information: 415.750.5224


STREET PARKS GARDENING DAY: Saturday, June 20, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm at 300 Channel Street, along Mission Creek Marina, between 4th and 6th Streets. Join us at this unique site to assist in the maintenance of the native plant area along the Mission Creek Marina. We'll hear about Mission Creek Conservancy's efforts to provide wetland habitat to wildlife along the Marina. Information: 415.750.5110


PLAZA SWEEP UP: Saturday, June 20, 9:00 am - 12 noon at Justin Herman Plaza, Embarcadero & Market. Join DPW and volunteers in beautifying the community. Volunteers will be clearing out tree basins, sweeping, painting over graffiti, removing weeds, and picking up litter. Information: 415.750.5224
